2015 Robotic Sacrocolpopexy Fellows Course, Da Vinci Surgery, Atlanta, GA: A detailed instructional course on the robotic sacrocolpopexy. Reviewed various surgical approaches and practiced on cadaver models.
2015 RCOG Pelvic floor, Anorectal Ultrasound Masterclass/ Fellowship London, UK:
Intensive course on pelvic floor and anal ultrasonagraphy techniques using 3D and 4D imaging modalities. Course focused on pelvic floor trauma including levator ani injuries, anal sphincter injuries, and other pathologic findings on pelvic floor ultrasound. Mentored by Dr. Abdul Sultan and Ranee Thakar.
2016 Medical Spanish Pre-Intermediate Course, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Chicago: Intensive course (>30hours) focused on learning the specific medical terminology needed to care for Spanish speaking patients. Extensive dialogue with a focus on medical terminology.
2016 Exxcellence in Clinical Research, The Foundation for Exxcellence in Women’s Health Care: Week-long course focused on clinical design, epidemiology, research methods, and data analysis.
2017-2018 Rwanda IOWD Fistula Surgery Mission: Travel to Rwanda each year to help diagnosis and repair fistulas. Through this commitment, I learn a great deal about global health and how to overcome barriers to care in resource limited areas.
2018 UCRC San Francisco, CA: Conference focused on enhancing the robotic training for our residents and fellows. Focus on collaboration in the entire University of California System.

2017- Global Health Interest Group Lecturer: Discussed the diagnosis, management, and treatment of obstetric fistulas in resource poor settings. Counseled students on the ethics of global health endeavors.
2017- PACE Clerkship Preceptor: I provided weekly mentorship for a first year medical student learning how to perform a successful history and physical examination.
2017- Prolapse and Obstetric Lacerations Lecturer: provide a flipped classroom lecture on these topics to every group of clerkship students.
2017- Intern Boot Camp: I helped facilitate and organize a two-day course preparing our MS4 students for the start of their internship. In addition to didactics, the workshop included models for teaching CS, IUD placement, laparoscopy, PPH, suturing, laceration repair.
2017- Assistant Clerkship Director: I aided the associate clerkship director in both the logistical and educational efforts for the clerkship. These including mid-clerkship reviews, several lectures on pelvic anatomy/pelvic examinations, development of simulation based workshops.
2018- Career Mentorship: I mentored students as they applied for OB/GYN residencies—reviewing applications and performing mock interviews for students.

Resident/Fellow Education
2017- Teaching activities include conducting teaching rounds, supervising the clinical activities, and giving lectures to the medical students, residents, and fellows. Topics include:

2014-2015 Medical Student Lecturer: I spear-headed an interactive case-based didactic with educational objectives on pelvic floor disorders, including prolapse and urinary incontinence, which my team provided for third year medical students during their Obstetrics and Gynecology core rotation.
2014-2015 Problem Based Learning Facilitator: I was selected by the medical school to serve as a facilitator in the second year medical student Problem-Based Learning Course on Genitourinary System. I developed educational learning objectives and facilitated problem based case discussions and worked closely with students to provide feedback on effective teaching strategies while they mastered pathophysiology and diagnosis of gynecologic disorders.
2014-15 Cadaver Lab Facilitator: I led third year obstetrics & gynecology residents in cadaveric dissection with a focus on pelvic floor anatomy. I taught them surgical approaches and complications in the context of anatomical relationships.
2015 CREOG Review Lecturer: I developed in a departmental lecture and question session to prepare obstetrics & gynecology residents for their yearly in-service, CREOG examination.
2015 Laparoscopic Pig Lab Facilitator: I instructed residents on laparoscopic surgical approaches and complications. I provided guided instruction on various laparoscopic instruments and simulated surgical emergencies such as a major vascular laceration.
2016 Research Mentor: I mentored a second year resident on her research project evaluating the consent process for operative deliveries. Specifically, I helped this resident perform a thorough review of literature, obtain IRB approval, design a survey, and create appropriate data collection tools on RedCap.
2016 Basic Laparoscopy Simulation: I facilitated a laparoscopic simulation program for first year residents. I instructed residents on safe methods for entry, appropriate laparoscopic tools, steps for salpingectomy, and fundamentals of laparoscopy (FLS).
2016-2017 Third and Fourth Degree Laceration Workshop Facilitator: I created a beef tongue model to teach obstetric laceration repair to junior residents and provided education on evidence based repair techniques and management of complications.

Global Health Experience
2007 Lusaka, Zambia: Educated women at the Mtendere antenatal clinic about mother to child transmission of HIV. Engaged women in discussion about their antenatal care, labor, and delivery. Volunteered at the Mother Teresa AIDS orphanage. Observed the differences in healthcare between the private and public health care sector in Zambia.
2009 Swaziland: Traveled to Swaziland with Dr. Larkins-Pettigrew and Project Africa Global. Acted as the first assistant on obstetric and gynecological procedures. Received formal education on medical care in developing nations. Delivered a lecture on Nutrition and HIV. Worked in rural clinics with pediatricians, surgeons, and internists.
2016-2017 Rwanda IOWD Fistula Surgery Mission: Provided medical and surgical care for patients with fistulas and pelvic floor disorders. We also instructed the local physicians on surgical techniques and the importance of pre and postoperative management. Co-authored a grant for an educational program focusing on cesarean section after labor to minimize the number of uterovesical or cervicovesical fistulas.
